Villa Abbondanzi Resort offers four star superior accommodation in a splendid park on the outskirts of Faenza (Italy).
The complex is the result of a long redevelopment process of the ancient villa and the annexed agricultural buildings, carried out by the Buccis, a historic family of entrepreneurs who have been active in Faenza since the post-war period.
Twenty-one rooms, divided into five different types: standard deluxe, junior suite, deluxe suite, executive suite and superior suite. Each room has its own name, chosen on the basis of the ceramics and their decorative and traditional style.
The neoclassical villa
The heart of the resort is the neoclassical villa, whose architecture has remained intact for over two centuries. It offers five elegantly frescoed superior suites, called Sirene, Approdo, Labirinto, Fenicotteri and Roseto, and one of the two resorts restaurants: Il Fenicottero Rosa Gourmet.
Modern day comforts are combined with the authentic atmosphere of country villas; guests can in fact relive the style of classic furnishings and decorations and frescoes and, from the veranda, they can enjoy a relaxing view of the lush park in which the villa is completely immersed and where it is also possible to see flamingos, herons, ducks, storks and squirrels.
The Bucci family’s love for travel, art and culture can be found in the exotic objects, books and large paintings on the walls that give life, especially in the restaurant, to an environment with an eclectic atmosphere.
The vegetable garden
Since 2018, the resort has been enriched with a luxuriant vegetable garden, extending over an area of almost one thousand square meters; a small Eden that revises, in a modern style the typical gardens of the Renaissance age.
The vegetable garden does not have the sole purpose of enlivening the walks of the guests with its plants and flowers; aromatic herbs, legumes and vegetables are in fact precious organic products grown for use in the resorts kitchens.
Wellness & SPA
Walking through the greenery of flowering bushes, trees and rose gardens, you arrive at the SPA. Managed by the expert SPA Manager Elisa Mancini, the wellness area stands out due to the fusion of different styles, furnishings, fragrances and colors from Middle and Far Eastern countries. It is complete with treatment rooms, a fitness room, a sensory pool and a garden spa.
What makes this area unique, however, are the three private spas: Sumir, Okui and Tanka, equipped with sauna, steam bath, sensory showers, a cold waterfall, a treatment bed with water mattress, tatami mats for couple’s massages and hydrotherapy tubs.
Numerous body, face, hand and foot treatments are offered, also performed with the use of technological equipment and different types of massages: traditional, bio-rebalancing and massages inspired by cultures and philosophies from all over the world.
