The Resort
The Musandam Peninsula is an Omani enclave located in the United Arab Emirates, a very suggestive place from an environmental point of view due to the presence of fjords, small inlets, bays and untouched beaches.
Zighy Bay, one of the jewels of the Six Senses group, finds its place in one of these bays. Protected by the mountains, the resort guarantees maximum tranquility and privacy to its guests, who can find a place in one of the 82 villas and suites, complete with private swimming pool and terrace; some of them are also equipped to offer spa treatments.
The structure was built with the utmost attention to environmental sustainability. Local materials such as rough stone, wood, reeds and palm leaves were preferred. From an architectural point of view, Zighy Bay fits almost naturally into the context thanks to its shapes and colors; moreover, the spacious interiors and the large French windows allow for cohesiveness between inside and outside and guarantee guests continual visual contact with the surrounding nature.
For the well-being of its guests, Zhigy Bay Resort offers numerous outdoor sports activities, a gym and a well-kept spa.
The SPA
The spa features a rustic design, with Arabesque touches. It is equipped with two hammams, an ice grotto, a sauna and treatment rooms featuring Lemi beds.
Guests can follow outdoor yoga sessions or fitness workouts in the jungle and, during a break, they will have the pleasure of personalizing their own herbal tea at the Alchimia bar.
The treatment menu is very extensive and combines local cultures and philosophies with Arab and Indian ones. A non-invasive screening that analyzes guests’ key physiological biomarkers allows therapists to build a personalized program that blends high technology and science with ancient traditions of healing and wellness
