Kelly Hoppen+Jean-Francois Adam | Lux Grand Baie – Mauritius

The Lux Grand Baie is the latest addition to the Lux Resorts hotels. Located in Mauritius, it is a newly designed boutique hotel, the result of a collaboration between British interior designer Kelly Hoppen CBE and Mauritian architect Jean-Francois Adam.

It has 116 suites, as well as some villas and private residences. The atmosphere is luxurious and international and is made welcoming by the wide range of colors used, mostly soft neutrals. The various areas have their own unique and specific style, although all are well amalgamated in a coherent and incisive unicum.

The designers’ were commited to creating something unique for the island, which could offer guests a different experience, a project capable of capturing the beauty of the land and the ocean in a “fun, vibrant and elegant” way.

The very unique interior design aligns perfectly with the architectural ideas of Jean-Francois Adam (the architect) and almost naturally embraces the turquoise lagoon, the lush gardens and the white beach.

The hotel also features four swimming pools, a rooftop with an outdoor gym, five restaurants and almost 2,000 square meters of wellness area.

The SPA

The international atmosphere of the hotel is also reaffirmed in the spa, which offers a very elaborate Parisian-style setting mixed with a more natural and simple Mauritian aesthetic.

LUX* Me Spa combines cutting edge technology and ancient wisdom. It begins around the large central Hammam which combines architectural styles from East and West. The experience then continues through the path of sensory showers,  Kneipp, a laconium and a sauna and ends with the relaxation area and swimming pool located in the adjacent garden.

The spa, equipped with Lemi products, has 7 treatment rooms and a couple’s suite which features our SPA Dream quartz beds.

The menu is complete with a wide range of treatments, all performed with products specially developed for the LUX* Me brand.
