The luxury hotel brand Anantara continues its European expansion by opening Anantara Plaza Nice, its first property in France. A rejuvenated 19th-century architectural gem and one of the most legendary hotels on the French Riviera, Anantara Plaza Nice overlooks the Promenade des Anglais, the town’s most famous waterfront.
After undergoing extensive two-year renovations, the 175-year-old building now houses a new 300-square-meter Anantara Spa. With two couples’ treatment cabins and two single cabins, as well as a dedicated space for hand and foot care by Bastien Gonzalez, the spa employs five therapists under the direction of spa manager Christelle Rajoie. Amenities include a relaxation room, a hammam, a sauna, and a 24-hour fitness club.
The Anantara Spa at Anantara Plaza Nice Hotel offers marine skin care products and natural essential oils from the Grasse region combined with Asian therapies. The spa also offers a bespoke collection of exclusive massage oils made with essences from the perfume capital, Grasse. The collection features the Anantara Nice signature oil, Coucher de Soleil, formulated with mimosa, ginger, and other aromatic botanicals from local producer CHO Nature. Cutting-edge foot care is provided by renowned pedicure expert Bastien Gonzalez, with products supplied by Thalion. Spa towels and linens are sourced from RKF, treatment beds from LEMI, and fitness equipment from Technogym.
A group of interior designers and architects, including David Collins Studio, local architect Jean-Paul Gomis, and TBC Studio, have created prestigious interiors that blend Old World Belle Époque elegance with contemporary luxuries. The hotel was the first luxury accommodation in Nice when it opened in 1848. It now offers 151 rooms, including 38 suites, a ballroom, and a rooftop restaurant and bar with 360-degree panoramic views of the Baie des Anges and Old Nice.
SEEN by Olivier, the hotel’s signature restaurant, offers contemporary Mediterranean cuisine by Portuguese chef Olivier da Costa.
